We went here for dinner with our local friend. It is packed but still have table for us. We ate exactly like being instructed. Self mixing sauce. I love the broth. Opening with rice cake, dig in the chicken meat and soup after 5-7 minutes. Then we ended it with their udon styled noodles. Very filling. Unlimited free Kimchi and water. Self served. Self service for other drinks from the chiller. It used to be much crowded than now. The gelato in front of the store is ok but no sampel. Lol..
View on GoogleI went for an early lunch, and even then, the place was already packed. One of the best things here is that the pot is already set up on the table when you arrive. Here is my "pro-tip" to level up the soup: Immediately toss in extra potato and green onion slices. Don't forget to add a generous amount of minced garlic right at the start—it makes the broth so much richer and more flavorful. Add the green onions just as it starts to boil. The chicken itself is super fresh and tender. Having one chicken per 2 people is more than enough to get full. Bonus tip: When you're mixing your dipping sauce, add a ladle of the hot broth into it. It’s a total game-changer! The Finale (Don't skip this!): When you’ve eaten about half of the chicken and potatoes, ask for a broth refill. Then, throw in the kimchi (with all the juice), the noodles, and a spoonful of the red chili paste (dadaegi). This creates a whole new, spicy, and deep flavor profile that is absolutely addictive. This is how you truly finish a Dak-hanmari meal. It’s definitely worth a visit if you're in Korea. My only complaint is that the service isn't the friendliest, but the food definitely makes up for it. I highly recommend grabbing a fresh fruit juice nearby afterward—it's the perfect palate cleanser!
View on GoogleNot the best experience! Like the other comments this is really a white boiled chicken soup. Probably personally not a big fan of white boiled chicken. The garlic based soup is nice but arguably probably you can get else where similar and probably not worth the visit if you had others on the list. We were sent up to the top floor so three flights of stairs which wasn’t friendly for elderly. The lady ordering the food told us 2 persons 1 chicken and 4 persons 2 chickens so we went for 2 chickens as a group of 4. Probably my mistake of not researching properly but other comments suggests they were advised 1 chicken for 4 people and 2 chickens for 5-8. If that was true, then we were oversold. We did end up with too much and could not finish - but may be we weren’t big eaters. The fact that we were planning to eat something else in the nearby market - which didn’t quite work out. On top of that - the place was so hot. The air con wasn’t enough and given the heat from the boiling chicken soup the thermometer for the floor was at 36.1 degree. We were all sweating while having hot chicken and soup - couldn’t wait to get out and get to a nearby coffee shop with air con! Probably not the best for a hot summer day. Not sure would recommend.
View on GoogleThe food is yummy, simple chicken soup which is very tasty however the service is bad. The workers doesnt seems happy working and rude. Visited here end of June, it was very crowded and hot. Each pot is for 2 to 3 pax. It is located inside a market. Near this restaurant I saw some grilled fish stalls, looks good too.
View on Googlethis place LIVES UP TO THE HYPE!! you have to go if you are in this area, the food was so amazing and i ate this so thoroughly. no complaints for real it’s a true korean spot and its busy for a reason!!! the chicken is so flavorful and the broth is so good. get the noodles instead of the tteok i would say it has more flavor 👍🤤🤤🤤
