Only accesible through the Changdeokgung palace, the secret garden is a worthy addition to the visit to the palace. You will have some of the most beautiful nature sights here. Fun fact: the garden is not really secret, it just makes for a cooler name :D it's just a rear garden. Highly recommended to reserve tickets online or be on site early, since timeslots and number of visitors are limited. If you get a ticket, you can opt to go alone or join a guided tour which is included in the ticket price.
View on GoogleDear Team of the Secret Garden, the garden was definitely a highlight in my journey of Korea. The Tour guide was soooo nice and funny. The Garden itself is something. It is important to buy tickets in advance. All in all a recommendation. 🙃
View on GoogleI really did enjoy the temple and meeting people they’re in traditional dress. I love the young lady with her daughter dressed up for their photo shoot. The grounds were beautiful, and I really loved learning how they preserve the umbilical cord and the placebo. It was absolutely beautiful in there and enjoyed the quiet and serene visit. I WOULD RECOMMEND
View on GoogleOnly accessible through Changdeokgung Palace. Guided tours are offered in English and being on a guided tour with a timed entry ticket is the only way to access the garden. Once you enter you can spend as much time as you like in the garden and don't necessarily need to follow the tour. I highly recommend staying on the tour though to fully understand the history of the gardens
View on GoogleA beautiful garden within changdeokgung palace. Need separate ticket - one for changdeokgung and one for secret garden. But secret garden ticket is limited and being sold in session slots. There’s also online reservation but sold out pretty quickly. Can buy early on site and just pick the next available slot. It’s being marketed and sold as a guided tour with specific timing. But you do not need to join actually (for example if you are English speaking but there’s only Chinese tour slot available) as there’s the QR code audio guide you can listen to while walking and exploring on your own - which in my opinion is way better and more slow pace. For me the guided tour was informative but rather rushed. I ended up re touring the whole place on my own with the audio guide.
