A truly peaceful and beautiful place in the middle of Seoul. I absolutely loved visiting Bongeunsa Temple. Despite being surrounded by the busy city, the temple feels incredibly calm, quiet, and peaceful. Walking around the grounds gave me a sense of serenity that I didn’t expect to find in the middle of Seoul. The atmosphere is beautiful, especially with the traditional architecture, statues, and surrounding nature. I really enjoyed taking my time here and simply soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. It’s definitely one of the places I enjoyed the most during my time in Seoul. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a place to slow down, clear your mind, and experience a more tranquil side of the city. 🙏🏻
View on GoogleA beautiful and peaceful temple in the heart of Seoul. Bongeunsa Temple is large, clean, and very peaceful despite being surrounded by the busy city. I really enjoyed the experience of writing wishes and prayers on the candles. Walking up to the higher part of the temple to see the giant Buddha statue was absolutely beautiful and felt very peaceful.
View on GoogleThis is an awesome temple. It is a very calming and serene space. I can stay here all day and meditate, contemplate on my life's purpose. This is one of the oldest stone statues of Buddha. It is also situated across from the COEX Mall. This temple is located in the Gangnam District
View on GoogleProbably my fave temple visited in Seoul. Incredibly colourful paper lanterns everywhere so it’s quite cheery. Beautifully coloured statues, and an ongoing ceremony with monks chanting enhanced the experience. Lots of pilgrims and tourists. There’s also a nice walking path behind the pagodas so worth a wander as it’s quite peaceful.
