Long queue for take-home; while no queue for dine-in, so be sure to check which queue you are taking. I ordered a medium set with separate sauce/salt/wasabi; the unagi taste was soft and good but I guess it would be better if I ordered the already seasoned (with tare) one to get the store's original taste. It may take time to serve, so may not suitable for those in rush.

Delicious unagi for a good price, and they also offer lamprey (八つ目). I’ve been to the Meguro store which is mostly take out. I decided to visit the Sugamo location as well. The unagi is delicious 😋 We also tried 1 lamprey (八つ目) skewer. The lamprey is a bit chewier and, has a bit of a taste similar to fish entrails. It’s a delicacy in some countries. I just wanted to give it a try. I recommend this shop if you’re looking for delicious affordable unagi! The service was also great!

Unassuming unagi place. Really good unagi and excellent service. Downside is since they are grilling on the spot, you'll smell like smoke after the meal. Solo-eater friendly :)

Most delicious Unagi I had. Definitely recommend. I will be returning whenever I'm in this area.

I would suggest the white eel, the grill eel without sauce.
