Very good soba. Prices are so low they deserve to be higher given the quality.

【A popular neighborhood soba shop】 It's popular, so there's a short wait at lunchtime. I ordered mori soba with a mini katsudon. The mini katsudon had a delicious sauce with a pronounced dashi flavor. The mori soba has a firm bite. Very satisfying for 900円.

There were quite a few customers just before noon on Saturday. I had katsu curry, which wasn't on the menu. Curry nanban is popular here, so the curry was tasty. Since everything is generally cheap, 900円 felt a little expensive. Next time it'll be curry nanban soba.

On a Sunday in late month 12, I arrived shortly before １３:00 and ordered tenmori（６５０円）. Both the exterior and interior had the traditional look of a typical neighborhood soba shop. Soba portions vary considerably between shops, so when ordering I asked the waitress how much soba there was. She said, “I think it's quite a lot,” so I ordered a regular portion. Before long, the tenmori arrived and I ate it. ＜Soba＞Sarashina-style, firm and good (the soba portion was described as “quite a lot,” but it was perfectly ordinary.（６ lifts）)・・・rating ４．０ ＜Tempura＞Only a small shrimp and thin slices of pumpkin and eggplant, and it wasn't freshly fried, so the batter was hard.・・・rating ２．０ (Does it match the price of the tenmori?) ＜Dipping sauce＞Perfectly ordinary・・・rating ３．５ 【Overall score】A rating of ３．５. The tempura was terrible in both quantity and quality. This shop doesn't seem to put much effort into tempura. It seems better to order hot soba or a set meal. It's about a ２-minute walk from Komagome station and reasonably priced, so I'd like to stop by again when I'm in Komagome.

Apparently it's been around since the Edo period. The soba is 2八 soba. It's very good value. The tempura soba has 3 pieces of tempura with hot batter. The quality of both matches the price. I was glad I hadn't ordered extra tempura. The photo is of curry soba.
