Our first night in Japan did not begin smoothly. After walking into several small restaurants around Komagome — and being politely turned away, mostly because we were a group of eight — we were starting to wonder if dinner would be an adventure of a different kind. Then we stepped into Gyuen Yakiniku. Instead of hesitation, we were met with warmth. No awkward pause. No reluctance. Just genuine hospitality. That first impression mattered. We chose the all-you-can-eat yakiniku menu, and what followed was exactly the kind of meal you hope for on your first evening in Tokyo. Plates of beautifully sliced meats arrived steadily. The charcoal grill at the center of the table brought everything to life — the sizzle, the aroma, the anticipation. Each bite was tender, flavorful, and satisfying without feeling heavy. But what elevated the experience beyond the food was the service. The staff were attentive without hovering, efficient yet friendly. Despite our group size, we never felt rushed or overlooked. They handled everything with professionalism and ease. For anyone visiting Tokyo — especially if you’re traveling with family or a larger group — Gyuen Yakiniku offers more than just good food. It offers comfort, generosity, and that rare feeling of being truly welcomed. On our very first night in Japan, this place set the tone beautifully.

View on GoogleWas there on 2023 Dec, planning to visit again on our Feb 2025 trip. U can imagine why. Unfortunately our time is tight this time, miss this place so much! They can speak in Japanese of course, and also in Chinese! We felt welcomed and went there twice during 2023 trip. The highball liquor is highly recommended compared to other restaurants I had visited in Tokyo. The beef is also a must order, oh! And their special rice, my friends ordered a lot, they are in love with it.
View on GoogleWe stayed in the Komagome area for 11 nights and ate at this yakiniku restaurant four times! You grill the meat yourself at your table with an individual charcoal BBQ. The meat is absolutely delicious and the vegetables and salads are incredibly fresh. The menus aren’t in English but the server will translate the meat types for you, if needed. You can almost just pick your meats from the excellent pictures on the menu. The rice with an egg yolk on top, plus 3 pieces of seaweed, with a scallion-garlic sauce, is addictive! Highly recommend this delicious and friendly restaurant!!
