This place closes quite early, so I finished what I had to do as quickly as possible and made it there for dinner this time The interior is unique. There was a U-shaped counter with stoves placed at regular intervals, which seemed to allow the staff to serve efficiently and manage each stove easily. I ordered a beer and looked through the menu while enjoying it. The menu has two main categories: sukiyaki and shabushabu. I was in the mood for sukiyaki, so I chose the domestically grown beef loin sukiyaki set meal They brought a pot filled with sukiyaki broth and set it on my stove. Then a bowl, an egg, rice, miso soup, and udon were served. Shortly after that, the plate of ingredients arrived. The broth already looked hot enough, so I stirred the egg in the bowl and placed a piece of beef in the pot. The staff then recommended that I cook the vegetables first. I noticed that many vegetables were underneath the beef, so I started with those. The piece of beef I had already put in the pot seemed ready, so I picked it up and dipped it in the egg. It was pleasantly sweet and savory. The egg made the flavor milder and cooled the very hot beef to just the right temperature There was a nice variety of vegetables, including onion, Chinese cabbage, mushrooms, and tofu. I enjoyed them together with the delicious beef. Lastly, I added the udon to the pot. The noodles were nicely chewy, and I was able to enjoy the broth with them. The rice and miso soup were also very good, especially the soup, which was full of ingredients and had a rich broth It was a satisfying set meal. The staff kindly kept an eye on each stove the whole time. I’ll definitely try the shabushabu next time

We heard about this from social media and were told it offers good value. The A5 set sukiyaki is 2980 for the lunch set—the taste is good, but I can only give it 3 stars because the meat is quite light in weight. I estimate it’s only about 60g due to its thinness; it’s as thin as paper. The environment is just okay because they use gas instead of electric heating, and there isn’t enough air conditioning when more than five people are dining.

This restaurant is very popular because it was introduced in a famous Japanese TV program. During lunch time, people were lined up 15 minutes before the restaurant opened. The meat itself is very tasty and tender. As for the service, you can't expect as much as the price of the food. If you are interested in Japanese food a lot, tourists can also enjoy it.

Following Goro san again to this small restaurant where all customers were seated in a U-shaped counter and the lady boss serves everyone in a round-robin fashion. Don't expect the service level of Asakusa Imahan but you won't be disappointed. BTW, sukiyaki is great.

If you are in the area, definitely worth a visit. It's a small hole-in-the-wall Mom & Pop 10 seater sukiyaki/ shabu shabu joint. Ambience is not fine dining but the quality of the food and the price make up for it. Only down side is the size which may makes large groups an issue and they close once they've sold out in the evenings which can be quite early. Its size and location in the suburbs means it is mainly local clientele no english menu but its quite manageable given the small menu.
