Large portions at a very reasonable price, I've tried something different every time and I'm never disappointed!

There aren't many ramen shops in 椎名町, huh I wanted to see what a low-rated place was like, so I went to 麺屋雷神, the lowest-rated noodle shop in 椎名町. There's an automatic ticket machine to the right of the entrance, where I chose a large つけ麺. I sat at the counter. Seeing a family of 4 with 2 small children already happily eating at a table, I looked forward to seeing what kind of food would arrive. It was about 10 minutes after I sat down, I think. My つけ麺 arrived. So, how did it taste… Just as the reviews said. Neither good nor bad, I'd say. It's fine for people who think this is good enough. As for me… I'm good now

There was a line to wait in, so I decided to get takeout. It had clumped together a little by the time I got home, but it tasted really good. If you eat in, you get extra noodles for free.

First visit. Is 雷神 a franchise? There used to be locations in 東武練馬 and 板橋 too, but I seem to remember they all closed. Open the door, ticket machine on the left, a fairly spacious Chinese restaurant run by a Chinese couple. The menu has alcohol & ramen and snacks too. 特製つけ麺, medium and large sizes are free too. The cheerful lady showed me to the counter, and the bowl arrived in 10 minutes. 3 really big sheets of nori, 3 huge thick slices of pork-belly チャーシュー—actually, not slices, 3 chunks. 1 egg. And underneath, bean sprouts and cabbage were hidden in 二郎-like quantities, 7 pieces of シナチク, and green onion. Surprisingly, there were also chopped チャーシュー and シナチク sitting in the dipping broth. The noodles and broth tasted just how I like them. Too many toppings, no time to eat the noodles, and toward the end the broth ran out—I wasn't drinking it. Oh, the kind lady topped up my broth. Around here I used to go for standing soba at 南天 on the other side of the station, but I'll come here from now on. Amazing value. There aren't many reviews, so I guess ramen fanatics don't come here. The front of this place actually makes it hard to approach as a Chinese restaurant too.

I ordered 冷やし担々麺, but got 冷やし中華. They said they'd remake it, but what came out was 冷やし中華 topped with the miso meat from 担々麺 and white spring onion. That's not okay. Usually the food is good and the service is pleasant, though.
