My first time visiting Otomate Garden Café and it's for "Over Requiemz" Collaboration. The building has elevator so not need to climb staircase. I arrived 10 minutes earlier and had to wait by the staircase area so do take note to arrive on exact reserved timing. The café ordering is by waitress so I just pointed at the printed menu. I only managed to reserve counter seat so the staff was nice to remove the transparent barrier thing for my mother to sit together. The foods were quite nice with sauces and condiments provided. Quite surprised to see the whole seasoning bottle served together with the foods. There was a card to indicate whether you are opened to trade benefits which I think is very nice! Sadly most tables were on red colour no-trading during my visit but I met a super friendly lady willing to exchange the lunch mat with me. Also from her I learnt that can just exchange the lunch mat anytime by asking the staff.
View on GoogleI often go when it's collaborating with works I like! Food tickets and drink tickets are appreciated! Useful when you can't eat but want the benefits! But it's common that I can't get a reservation and can't use them up within the deadline
View on GoogleBuilding in Ikebukuro. Recommended by an otaku girl friend for lunch alone. Go up to the 6th floor. There are many anime or manga posters on the walls. Apparently everyone comes looking for their favorite character. The layout inside the store is very simple. Even cheap. Counter for 1 person facing the wall. In the back are table seats. And, there was 1 previous customer but I was guided to the counter by the wall, and I was next to them. Why specifically next to them? It's so spacious and there's no one else. It's not about density (I don't care anyway) but that way of guiding seats is strange, right. Not fun at all. Makes no sense. And what's unbelievable is that water isn't even served. Why?? Ordered pasta and pudding parfait. Pasta is delicious if you add plenty of cheese. Comes with salad and soup. Parfait is full of cornflakes. The taste is worse than a family restaurant. It's probably just a cafe to enjoy the atmosphere. But of course, if you don't know these characters, this cafe has no meaning at all. Staff are nice but please do something about the seat guidance.
View on GoogleThe staff is like gacha. Half are good staff and half are scary? __________ I participated for Hakuoki. 19:30 last session, even though the first order is only dessert, for some reason the meal is also first order. When I said please order. "The meal is also first order only!? I explained it, right!?" I was surprised because they said it in a loud voice. The surroundings went silent. High-pressure attitude. I'm sorry, but I thought they might have some developmental issues. Also, dessert was mentioned, but there was no explanation about the meal. So I said I wasn't told. I asked an acquaintance, and they said they had never heard of such a thing. When I went on another day for the 19:30 session, I could order the meal as a second order, so was it a staff mistake? Also, I think there is a way to say things. Because it's scary, please don't yell. I asked another staff member, is 19:30 meal also limited to first order? I asked because I was really scared because I was yelled at in a loud voice. It was only that day, was it a special day? (--;) Every time I get that staff member, I get nervous about having to be careful about the content... The food is really delicious. The frozen tofu is especially delicious. Really... even though it's delicious...
View on GoogleHmm, somehow... it was harsh on first-timers. I visited because I like a game that has Otomate, but is this a tacit understanding? There are too many things that are not explained. Every time I ask "what should I do here?", they answer with a disgusted face. I'm sorry for causing trouble... even when I try to be humble as a customer, they ignore me. The person being criticized here (had black short bob hair) and another person in the hall, both were unfriendly and I think their service attitude is over. I thought this shop is only run by regulars. The cost including the reservation fee was 8000 yen.
