This was delicious. I'm here for two weeks, I'm looking forward to eating here again. I know I will miss it when I leave Tokyo.

View on Google1 minute from 駒込 Station. I visited at 12:15 on a weekday. There are counter and table seats inside, but it was already nearly full. Luckily, 1 counter seat was available. I had the following menu item that day. ・ラーメン&煮卵(1000円) As you'd expect from a 大勝軒-style ramen shop, it was a generously sized ramen with fairly thick noodles and a soy sauce base. Looking around, more people were eating tsukemen. Next time I'd like to try the tsukemen.
View on GoogleA traditional 大勝軒-style restaurant. I had もりそば(900円)+大盛(100円). I don't think it's a trendy modern flavor, but it was exactly the 東池 taste I was looking for. The noodles are fairly thick and firm, and seem to have been thoroughly rinsed and chilled. The standard serving comes with 2 slices of chashu, which feels like good value. In true 大勝軒 fashion, I enjoyed it to the end while mixing the tabletop vinegar and doubanjiang into the noodles. The married couple(?) running it were polite too, and I'd like to return. There was a queue during the 13:00 hour, which made sense.
