Very homey feeling with a japanese western twist. Plus they had a michilen mark. :) Food was very properly executed. The coating on the scallop and the giant ebi were so light that it was like eating just the meat inside with crunchy exterior. Got the beef stew set the demi sauce had so much umami that I whipped the bowl with rice to get all of it. Next time I should get the gyu katsu as it was ordered by more of the tables around me.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant. Michelin bib gourmand recognized. We went for a nice dinner. Service was amazing. Food was so incredible and for the price it was even better.

Had the steak - very delicious and well cooked. While everything was tasty the corn soup was so good that it ended up being the only photo I took. May have been the best corn soup of my life.

If you are from Singapore, this restaurant reminds me of The Ship but with better food. The chef’s omakase course was well priced and hearty on a cold winter’s night. The cold appetiser was a little odd with a mixture of seafood, duck and pate but everything else thereafter was excellent. The only gripe is the dessert- we chose the shaved ice and you can give that a miss. Beyond that, come and try!

Wanted to try a Japanized western restaurant. Was slightly confused / scared before, but this was an amazing omakase (tasting menu) that delighted every step of the way. It wasn’t Japanese food or western food. It was amazing Japanese skill applied to western style things. Amazing staff, amazing service, lovely place. Stars included appetisers, the most corn corn-soup, incredible crisp and light fried shrimp, the steak, Japanese stew and pistachio ice (lightest I’ve ever!). Great location next to metro.
