I ate here the other day. The fish dishes—sashimi, fried, and grilled—were all very delicious. However, there's something to be careful about. Taking photos of the food was no problem, but when I took a photo of the menu written on the whiteboard, the owner suddenly said, "Leave. You don't need to come back. I'll call the police." It seems photographing the menu was prohibited, but since this wasn't clearly indicated in the restaurant, I was very surprised and felt very uncomfortable. If photographing the menu is prohibited, I'd like them to clearly indicate that in advance. Being suddenly told they'll call the police is far too unreasonable. I've written this so other customers won't have the same experience I did. The food quality is high, so I'm very satisfied on that point, but I think there's room for improvement in customer service.

Tried drinking at Kimatoto (about ¥5,000/person 2025.8) A cozy little place with about 8 counter seats. Run solo by a guy who looks intimidating at first glance but is fairly friendly. Ordered several dishes like namero, shime saba, and aji fry. Just as I'd heard beforehand, the aji fry is seriously delicious. Thick flesh, fluffy texture, horse mackerel that keeps its flavor even when fried, batter that doesn't get in the fish's way, and tartar sauce that brings out the flavor—a great balance, very delicious. An aji fry unlike any I'd had before. The namero seems to come with garlic as standard, but I missed adding it. The next person who came in added garlic as a matter of course. Anyway, the fish is delicious. You can keep a bottle too, and above all it's cheap for the quality.

They have a good lineup of fresh fish. The aji fry is fluffy, and the tartar sauce isn't heavy, which is nice. Okinawa soba to finish is perfect on a cold day.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced—I thought it was really great! I want to come again! They use ingredients the owner caught fishing themselves, so it's very fresh and delicious!

An izakaya started by an owner who loves fishing. An izakaya that catches seasonal fish and serves it at bargain prices. The golden horse mackerel tataki, namero, fried fish with tartar sauce, and other varied preparations are very delicious. The simmered dishes are delicious too.
