Food portions are rather small, especially the iron pot goose dish, very little goose meat. Dishes taste alright, restaurant is small and noisy. Make reservations ahead if you have time. Although it's not a place to revisit often.
View on GoogleNorthern Chinese food. Taste is just OK. Very down point is they don't speak English which should be BECAUSE it is not Japanese restaurant and as a foreigner who come to foreigner restaurant except to speak English language which is common language in the world.
View on GoogleThe price was high, and the portions were disappointing. The iron pot stew itself looked authentic, but the actual meat quality was terrible. Despite the pork belly, ribs, chicken, and lamb being very cheap compared to the restaurant's prices, he still opted for frozen meat. However, the cold dishes were acceptable. Overall, due to various limitations, you can't find authentic iron pot stew in Japan, but I hope the owner will seriously consider improving the quality of the meat.
View on GooglePerfect for a larger gathering of around 4〜5 people! Everyone eats together around a big pot, and it was very delicious. The northeastern Chinese cuisine was authentic too, and we enjoyed an atmosphere that's hard to find in Japan. The manager's service was very kind, and their friendly personality left an impression. I'd like to go again!
View on GoogleLate R8.1: I visited while working in 大塚. It was lunchtime, but about half the seats were empty. This is a good place for busy people. I ordered the lunch Taiwan ramen+half fried rice. The Taiwan ramen tasted pretty good, but the fried rice... Was it prepared ahead and kept in a rice cooker, or cooked in one? It's mixed rice like pilaf. It's reasonably tasty, but don't think of it as fried rice. It seems you can always get a seat, so I might come back when I'm busy. Without the fried rice next time.
