One of the best meals we had in Japan ! the meat was so tender and the side dishes were great. the beansprouts and soup come with the meal but we ordered the kimchi on top. there was a slight wait which didn’t really make sense since once we got inside there was a second floor with plenty of open seats so we may have just been waiting for the ticket machine to order.

If you like spicy go with extra spicy. Regular spicy is not really that spicy. I saw they had extra meat as a selection. I usually interpret that from restaurants to mean the regular is weak so I ordered the extra meat which they piled it on to a point where it was too much. They have an English menu but you must order from the machine which I didn't have an English option. Anyhow good restaurant I'll visit again.

Amazing food and great value for money! You pick what you want at the screen by the door and then give them your ticket, was super stress free and easy!

Ikebukuro NIKU Gekijo' located in Ikebukuro is easy to get to walking or by train. I believe they might have several locations based on their website. Was craving a simple cheaper meal then what we have been selecting these days in Tokyo. This place has three floors. All additional stairs, no elevator to other dining rooms seats. You pay by machine which was easy. Cash and card payment. I ordered their skirt steak with regular amount of rice with spicy garlic sauce. The skirt steak was tender and well coated. Apparently, only veggies was green onions in the bowl but they added a good amount of steamed bean sprouts and a cup of soup. The soup is tasty and good adding the rest of my rice. Meal was very good enough for the price. Only paid 1000yen (@$7). Food came out quick and staff friendly. My husband and Bro-in-law got the larger portion of the combo Daigekijo bowl which had pork, chicken & spare ribs with sweet garlic sauce. They liked theirs. This cost 1710yen (@$12). Will come back here again for a quick cheap meal.

Great meal!!! For the first time ever, I finished my entire bowl of rice! The sauce was so good and meat was cooked perfectly! It might be a bit difficult to order because the menu is in Korean (but there’s a translation printed beside the machine). The staff was kind enough to help us order. There are more seats on the 2F and wasn’t full during Saturday dinner time.
