It's right inside the ticket gates, so it's handy to pick some up on the way. 【Shop overview】 A rice ball shop with branches inside stations across the Tokyo metro area. Valuing its three commitments—"rice cooked in-store," "handmade," and "Aizu Koshihikari"—it has kept serving carefully made rice balls for over 20 years. 【Menu】 ・Umeboshi (pitted) 180 yen (tax incl.) A small size that fits in your palm. It's packed with umeboshi, so you can enjoy it down to the last bite. Nice that there's a little yukari sprinkled on top. ・Grilled salmon rice ball 210 yen (tax incl.) The filling is only at the top (about 30% of the whole), so you end up eating the last part with no filling. -------------------------------------------- 【Visit date/time】 November 2024, around 8 o'clock 【Location】 Inside JR Sugamo Station 【Reservation】 None 【Rating at time of visit】 3.7 points 【Recommended for】 Solo / Acquaintances / Family

Honnoriya, the rice ball shop of reassurance and safety, trust and track record! Ever since I found the chicken nanban rice ball, I eat it every time I see it. I'm grateful to whoever came up with it. The sight of them all lined up in a row really whets the appetite. Thanks for the meal.

A rice ball shop inside Sugamo Station. I bought a tuna ikura rice ball. It's best eaten the same day, and it's about convenience-store size. The nori is on the soft side and the white rice isn't seasoned—a homestyle taste. It was tasty, like an easy-to-eat seafood rice. The menu seems to change with the seasons.

A typical rice ball shop like you often see in front of stations. The okaka rice ball is 170 yen, which I think is reasonably cheap for a rice ball specialty shop. But the okaka was just like your usual generic tsukudani. Still, the filling went from end to end, which earns high marks.

The best sushi I've had so far! The rice texture is excellent! I originally just bought it as breakfast for my daughter, but ended up buying it four more times in a row (lol)! Slightly warm rice paired with perfectly salty-savory salmon, and the price is very reasonable too!
