A hidden basement gem! The restaurant is small and intimate and the experience felt very personal. The staff were quick and accommodating, the food was delicious, as expected from high quality Japanese ingredients! The marbled beef was melt in the mouth and frankly did not even taste like meat, but that’s one of its charms, you didn’t even need to chew! The sides were good albeit mini portioned. I wish they had a free cabbage refill option in exchange of the free rice refill😊 Overall a great experience. It did not disappoint!🩵

The wait wasn't bad at all! We (3 of us) went around 1pm and only waited about 10 minutes. The cutlet was tender and juicy and when you cooked it it came out delicious. The sides also added such nice flavor to the meat and rice. Overall, incredible food.

I walked past Gyukatsu Iroha Ikebukuro the other day and decided to pop in for an early dinner around 5:45pm—luckily no queue at all. The gyukatsu was really good—crispy on the outside and super juicy inside. I liked being able to cook it a bit more on the hot stone to my liking too. The place is pretty cramped, so I can imagine it getting uncomfortable when it’s busy, but the staff were friendly and helpful. They also offer free rice and soup for kids, which was a nice touch. Overall, a solid spot for gyukatsu if you go a bit earlier and avoid the crowds. 👍

Absolutely delicious beef katsu dinner set. I was there earlier around 5:30pm so there wasn’t any wait time. The katsu itself was juicy and cooked to perfection, wish I ordered a bigger portion. Sauces were awesome as well. Finished everything on the table! Yum…

Second time eating at this place. The staff were super friendly and would make sure you know what to do with the hot plate. Everything on the tray is flavourful and the beef is so fatty that it is still tender even if you over grill it.
