View on GoogleA standing bar known for its yakitori that I used to frequent about 10 years ago. On 2024.6.7 (Fri), I dropped by on an errand for the first time in 10 years, and was surprised to learn the master had passed away this May—and even more surprised that Ruby-chan, the famous staff member from back then, had taken over and become the owner! There were lots of changes: what used to be standing-only at the counter was renovated and now has chairs; it used to be a yakitori-focused place because the master worked in the chicken business during the day while alive, but now there are more other snacks, and instead the grill has been removed and the yakitori is now cooked in an oven. But thanks to Ruby-chan, the mood-maker, the bright and friendly atmosphere hasn't changed, and with my tipsy second-stop head I reconfirmed that in the end, this kind of place is a good place... I don't know when the next time will be, but I'll definitely come again... Remembering the master as they were in life, I offer my heartfelt prayers for the master's peaceful rest.
View on GoogleIt's not high-end, nor especially friendly. It's not like they have especially delicious food or drinks either. But it has a coziness that makes you want to drop in alone on a whim. I'd be happy if places like this keep going for a long time.
View on GoogleThe perfect place to drink alone and have a light bite. Conversations with the customers next to you flow easily too. The Korean-style hiyayakko is tasty.
