I go there once a month. The food is okay, but the staff are rude and the service is not good, especially at lunchtime when it's crowded, with the staff telling the customers to hurry up and go quickly.

View on GoogleA popular Western-style (yoshoku) restaurant near Otsuka Station, loved by locals. It was full at lunchtime and I waited in line a bit, but thanks to the system of ordering while you wait, the food was served surprisingly quickly after I went in. I ordered the daily stewed hamburger steak and crab cream croquette. The hamburger steak was plump and went well with the rich sauce. The croquette was also freshly fried and very high quality. The service was smooth too; it's the perfect place when you want to eat your fill of delicious food.
View on GoogleI had the "Butaniku Shogayakiniku Oomori" (large ginger pork) at "Yoshoku GOTOO". The first thing that catches your eye is the hefty portion of pork shoulder loin. The large size is apparently 1.5 times the regular, so it's impressive, but the seasoning isn't too heavy, so I could happily keep eating right to the end. The pork is thick yet very tender and easy to bite through. You can really taste the savoriness typical of shoulder loin, but the fat isn't cloying. The balance of ginger, soy sauce, and natural sweetness is also good; the flavor is robust yet the aftertaste is clean. A highly polished shogayaki that makes the rice go down easily. The sauce is on the saucy side and goes well tossed with the shredded cabbage too. Including the macaroni salad, miso soup, and pickles, it came together nicely as a set meal. The portion, tenderness of the meat, and balance of the sauce were all highly satisfying; a shogayaki that makes me want to eat it again.
View on GoogleI had business near Otsuka Station and searched for a lunch spot using AI, and this was the place it recommended. Apparently, if you're talking lunch set meals in Otsuka, this is the place lol. I arrived a bit early, around 11:40. The inside is by no means spacious and it was full, so I was 2nd in line. Then a staff member told the woman in front of me that on weekday lunchtimes they'd like customers to eat in about 20 minutes, and she left the line. As other reviews mention, it's probably the dilemma of a place that prioritizes turnover, but they explained it politely. Once inside, I didn't hesitate and ordered the daily lunch of egg menchi and crab cream croquette; after a 3-4 minute wait, the daily special arrived. Since they prioritize turnover, the daily special seems to be quick. The egg menchi is fairly large and would be enough on its own, plus the creamy crab croquette was piping hot and delicious. The rice is also generously served, so it's plenty even for men, and might be a lot for women. Near the station with this content for 1000 yen, I think it's good, but it might be iffy for women at lunchtime, and there are men who eat slowly too, after all.
