Spice Bistro Gara it has a grand menu. the mango lassi had cocktail umbrellas in them! the menu would be retro if it had changed at all. Nan costs extra , but they do some interesting types inc. apple nan, chocolate nan. The nans we had were good, light but a little oily. bean salad was good, samosa average, coconut fish spring roll was not good. i had saag chicken, she had the keema. Both good but lacking a spicy depth and ghee goodness. restaurant decor is a strange mix, staff on a Sunday night were not overly friendly but they were attentive. Meal for 2 with the above was 6,000 yen. A bit pricey for curry and cocktail umbrellas but okay taste for a city center indian.
View on GoogleIt’s pretty good
View on GoogleThe butter chicken curry feels like a curry version of 帝国ホテル's soup. It is delicious. Overall, it is easy to eat despite the fairly strong spices. The chai is ordinary.
View on GoogleI had the daily soup curry! It was a very gentle soup curry for my stomach, which was feeling worn out after the year-end and New Year holidays!
View on GoogleThe spinach curry here is rich, deep green, and nourishing. The naan and chai are delicious too. No wonder it is busy even on rainy days. The menu is extensive, with many different kinds of naan. The side dishes included in the lunch set are properly prepared too, with a good nutritional balance. At dinner, I had the avocado and shrimp gratin. It was understated, but as a gratin and avocado lover, I found it irresistibly delicious (and, being a curry restaurant, it had a little spice to it). It was an unforgettable flavor.
