It was about 2 minutes from Komagome Station. I visited for lunch on a weekday. There was only 1 other customer when I entered, but by the time I finished eating and left, every table was occupied. I ordered dolsot bibimbap (1000円) from the lunch menu. As you'd expect at a Korean restaurant, kkakdugi and bean sprouts were included by default. The dolsot bibimbap was piping hot and delicious too. I was told not to take photos inside, so unfortunately I don't have any food photos. Please imagine it from the exterior.

Written 豚愛, pronounced Tonsaran. A samgyeopsal set for 2 costs 4100円. It includes 3 large pieces of pork belly, 2 plates of kimchi, namul, black beans, kimchi scallions, sesame oil, and garlic. They'll replenish the leaves that come with the set when you run out. Eating and drinking for 2 generally costs a little over 6000円. Just a 2-minute walk from JR Komagome Station, leave through the exit toward Rikugien and follow the back alley to find the hidden Korean restaurant 「豚愛」. It may be a little hard to find on your first visit, but that secretive feeling actually adds to the excitement. The compact interior has table seating where even solo diners can feel comfortable, providing a setting to enjoy a leisurely meal without being disturbed. At lunchtime, you can enjoy the Korean classic 「sundubu-jjigae set meal」 for 1,100円. This jjigae has an addictive combination of moderate heat and deep richness, and the piping-hot soup gently warms a chilled body. The varied menu also includes 「samgyeopsal」, 「samgyetang」, and Korean-style 「chawanmushi」. It's known for offering authentic Korean flavors while you're in Japan, and discovering something newly delicious on each visit is another attraction. The lunch sets in particular come with 3 side dishes, rice, and a main dish such as bibimbap or soybean paste jjigae, making them very filling. These satisfying meals are available at reasonable prices, so many nearby office workers and students visit at lunchtime, showing how popular it is. 「豚愛」 is a place Korean food lovers should visit at least once. While strolling around Rikugien, why not savor authentic Korean flavors at this hidden restaurant near Komagome Station?

【Thanks to pork, applause for rice. Stomach fully charged】 A 1-minute-30-second walk from Komagome Station. 45 seconds if you run. There's paid parking close by too, so coming by car is easy. I've never been to Korea itself, but…we can just call this place authentic, right? The staff grilling the samgyeopsal are so skilled that all we have to do is join the “club that watches it cook”. They even cut it with scissors into perfectly sized pieces. I was so grateful I almost applauded. Wrap it in lettuce, add kimchi, and take a bite. The taste makes you think, “So…this is what happiness is…” Your taste buds dance. Your heart leaps. Your stomach rejoices. And when you order a large rice… Out comes “that shape”. Yes, the impossibly perfect mountain of rice you often see in manga. Excitement skyrockets & finishing it is guaranteed. Pork is packed with vitamin B1. It's effective for recovering from fatigue, so you're recharging your energy while eating samgyeopsal. Delicious and good for your health. Before you know it, you're back again! It's addictive like that. I've just got to become a regular!
