One of the most beautiful cafés i have been in🌞🌞 The prices are crazy cheap and you get a meal like curry/spaghetti +salad+soup+tofu+sweet snacks and a coffee that is refillable for free for 1000¥. From the 3F you look directly at the trainstation and the trains passing by The owner is very lovely and i assume very old already to be honest😅 The interior is old and has a charme that is unmatched because its not jusz trying to be oldschool but rather is just how the café is since like 40 years. At least it feels like that. The coffee itself might not be the best compared to all the hipster café's with single origin beans but its half the price and still a nice traditional handbrew coffee that i would get at my grandmas place.
View on GoogleWonderful coffee and experience! The owner is a legendary Tokyo Giants baseball player named Mr. Yasuhiro Hagiwara, and he is so kind and talkative. When I visited, the cafe was filled with warm and welcoming locals and many laughs were had. I highly recommend this cafe for people looking for a confortable at home feel! And what’s more your second cup of coffee is free! Don’t skip this cafe✨
View on GoogleChanced upon this quaint little cafe tucked away on the 3rd floor of a building in the middle of nowhere. And it was the best thing that happened to me on this trip! It's old school, with fixtures and furniture from the 80s. And the walls are adorned with the owner's (Mr Hagi) baseball paraphernalia. He used to play for the Giants in Tokyo in the 60s and 70s. Really brought me back to my childhood, where smoking was allowed indoors, and conversations amongst the clientele were aplenty. It felt like quintessential Japan back in the day (at least that's what I imagined it would have been if I could time travel). As for the food, sure, it isn't mind blowing, but this is the sort of place you'd come to get that "homecooked" style. It is more about the feels, than it is about the taste. Also, he's like the nicest grandpa ever. He's kept prices super low, but yet gives so much (the amount of food in total for 1000 yen was just incredible) You're sat above the railway tracks, and you're watching the outside world go by whilst sat in a gorgeous cute little cafe. Bring a translator/have a translation app on hand. Mr Hagi is more than willing to entertain you, but unless you speak japanese, communication will be hand signs! Look, I've bothered to write more than a paragraph, I am telling you, you gotta come experience it for yourself!
