Quite upset as the staff did not pass us the English menu also not informed about the different size portion for the same price. Only realised when the next table ordered the same thing and the size was almost 2x of ours. However it's a good experience. Food is special, fusion. They also have other types of udon. Worth trying. But service needs improving.
View on GooglePrepare for an undiscovered culinary gem tucked away in the heart of the city! This hole-in-the-wall udon spot, with a modest capacity of just 10 seats, is a local secret that deserves far more recognition than its current rating suggests. Don't expect to find many foreigners here; it's a haven cherished by the locals. Upon our arrival, the intimate space was brimming with patrons, and we had to patiently wait for a spot, especially challenging on a rainy day with no covered area. However, what awaited us inside was nothing short of udon nirvana. The udon experience here transcended the ordinary, with a standout carbonara cream that left our taste buds in a state of bliss. Even our little one couldn't resist, finishing her bowl with gusto. As for me, the beef udon was a divine revelation, though I dare say, a bit more beef wouldn't hurt – maybe some hearty, substantial chunks would elevate it to perfection. Despite the small portion of beef chunks, the overall experience was so extraordinary that I would gladly return in a heartbeat. This is one of those places I wanted to keep a secret, Consider this review a hidden key to a truly beautiful udon haven – a spot I'll cherish in my gastronomic memory bank.
View on GoogleI had the carbonara udon, it was very delicious! The food portion is very satisfying, the staff was nice and friendly, the place is nice and clean, overall a great experience eating here! I would eat here again for the really good udon noodles.
View on Googleto be honest if i was dining alone i would still give this 4 stars but this restaurant sells itself on nouvelle udon with interesting takes on the this grandma and kid staple with mains like mushroom cream, and 8 hour beef stew, carbonara, and in doing so open themselves up to the dating crowd, myself included. i ordered the mabo (spicy) my date had a cheese cream and mushroom, both delicious. we were giing to order more and sake but we bailed early due to the 2 cockroach that made an appearance! get a table if on a date not the counter, that way youll be safe!
View on GoogleThis is a very good fusion Udon noodle restaurant that I visit semi-regularly. They offer a large noodle menu, complemented by an underrated Izakaya-style menu featuring creative takes on classic dishes. We particularly liked the Carbonara and the stew-based Udon, as well as the Taiwan-style noodles with cheese. The atmosphere is good, though it can get quite loud at times.
