Delicious food and drinks, my first stop in Tokyo for dinner. The chef is very friendly and clearly a master of his craft. Westerners should definitely go with a guide or bring something to translate with as the menu is all in Japanese, however there are photos available.

I really love this place. Menu is all Japanese but they also have some photo menu items. Very inexpensive and great quality. 1000yen gets you a set meal and I've never been disappointed. The only downside is that its mostly counter seating so if you're in a small group you won't sit facing each other. There are only 2 tables. Great items I've tried: tempura, udon, grilled tuna cheek, sashimi bowls (don)

The lunch set listed: ・Seasonal fish ・Assorted sashimi I thought the seasonal fish and the assortment would be separate, but it seemed the fish was part of the same sashimi platter. I couldn't tell which was the seasonal fish, and I was surprised by how thin the sashimi was. They asked if chopsticks were okay for a 4-year-old. I thought it would have been considerate to provide a fork too, so that was disappointing. The sashimi felt gritty when I ate it. There was far too little rice too, like a child's bowlful,

The owner and staff were warm and welcoming, so I could enjoy a leisurely meal. I couldn't drink because I was driving, but I'd love to have sake and sashimi, then finish with soba.
