This is a restaurant and/or cafe, run by a nursing home, and is open for public. The meals are very homely. Since the primary guests are elder people, I don’t recommend you not to expect much about the amount. Taste is good. The mood is like at home.
View on GoogleI like strongly flavored, greasy food and eat a lot, and it keeps escalating. I used this place to reset my palate and portion sizes. Although open to the public, it's basically a nursing home dining hall. The meals have calculated calories and balanced nutrition, with less salt and mild seasoning. Healthier than ordinary profit-driven eateries or home cooking. But it's not like hospital food; it's simply tasty. They probably use dashi, vinegar, miso, and so on skillfully, because the flavor doesn't feel lacking. Right after finishing, I think it's too little, but by the time I get home, it feels just right. It keeps making me reflect on whether I usually eat for my brain's pleasure rather than my body……… I've now tried most of the regular menu and desserts, and some of the daily set meals. I've written the dish names on the attached photos and my impressions in the short video comments. My recommendations would probably be the beef stew, oyakodon, negitorodon, grilled fish set (mackerel), and cold soba? The spacious, clean interior has 10 tables seating 4, creating a quiet, peaceful space. To order, call out on the left side of the kitchen and pay first, collect your own food, then return your dishes to the return counter on the right side of the kitchen after eating. From 2–5 in the afternoon, it's an open-space self-service cafe. You pour your own drinks from pots and put the money in a payment box. The women cooking are all pleasant and unobtrusive, leaving you alone in a good way, so you can relax after eating without feeling any odd pressure. A place that leaves me feeling very peaceful on the journey home after a meal. If my workplace were nearby and I could eat lunch and dinner here every day, how healthy I'd be in both body and mind……… It's not somewhere to make a special trip from far away, but I'd like people living nearby to try it once………
View on GoogleI spotted this place while out, got curious, and went in. Is it run by the dining hall of a senior care facility? The spacious floor has low bookshelves that seem easy to browse. Calligraphy works were displayed, perhaps someone's creations? The piano is also available outside mealtimes. When I went just after 11 on a weekday, no one was there yet, but office workers soon started arriving one after another. There are many set meals, priced around 750 yen, offering good value. I ordered the apparently popular menchi katsu set. A large, clearly homemade menchi katsu with cabbage. Rice and miso soup. Pumpkin salad. Dessert. Since it was Wednesday, I was lucky to get 1 free cup of coffee. Everyone seemed to be regulars and on good terms with the staff. If I lived nearby, I might want lunch here every day. It may not be mind-blowingly delicious, but it's good and has homemade warmth. I'd like to try another set next time.
View on GoogleThis restaurant is inside a paid residential nursing home (which looks like an apartment building from the outside), next to the Hijirigaoka shopping street. Although inside the facility, it's open to the public and accessible directly from the pedestrian path, making it easy to enter. Many members of the public, including local residents, use it. 【Freshly fried and crispy! A beautifully balanced menu】 There's a wide variety of dishes, and everything is delicious. Since they cook after you order, it's lovely to enjoy croquettes, menchi katsu, and more freshly fried and piping hot. Given the nature of the facility, nutritional balance is carefully considered too. (※Overall, portions seem a little modest) 【Thoughtful extras that delight children】 At the ordering counter, there are candies and cute folded origami pieces (such as Pikachu), and children can have one. These warm, thoughtful touches are especially welcome for families with children. 【Recommended before or after an outing too】 You can also order meals as bento. Tokyo Metropolitan Sakuragaoka Park and Tama Municipal Oyato Park are relatively close, so picking up bento before going to the park is a good option, as is stopping at the restaurant on your way back!
View on GoogleEverywhere was crowded during Golden Week, and I stumbled upon this place while wandering around. Everything on the menu looked delicious, so it was hard to choose, but I had the menchi katsu set. At a price you really appreciate these days, it was homemade, with delicious, freshly fried menchi katsu, and the miso soup tasted good too.
