Edit: September 1, 2025 I’ve been craving for this shop’s Obanyaki for the whole month of August. I’m so happy it’s open again! I said hisashiburi to the owner and he smiled. I asked him where he went for summer vacation, he said it’s too hot to go anywhere, and I agree! I bought good quality tea leaves from Shizuoka and I can’t wait to have my slow lazy afternoon snack of obanyaki and tea this week🥹 ————————————————————— I’ve tried the obanyaki here before and it was so good, especially when you eat it fresh and warm. After reading reviews about the owner being rude, I was a bit nervous approaching the shop. He is an elderly gentleman who looked busy, focused and serious. But he was not as rude as I expected. He reminds me of my favorite uncle who rarely smiles but is very kind when you ask for help. The only downside for me is you cannot freely choose the flavor you want. You can only buy whatever’s available. I think there’s a reservation system where you order what you want in advance and just pick your order up. It’s rare nowadays to find an obanyaki shop near my area, so I am grateful this shop is still in operation. And the obanyaki here is also really delicious. I hope it will last for many more years.

This shop has been around for at least 25 years, and they have great oh-ban-yaki, which is typically a red-bean paste wrapped in a pancake like dough. Their expanded menu includes vanilla cream, chocolate cream, cream cheese, ham & cheese, hamburger, etc. Conveniently located right by the station.

Arrived today 5 minutes after opening! There were already 2 people waiting for their orders to finish cooking I ordered ogura, cream, and cheese ham They were all delicious😋 Ogura and cream are the classics, so I regretted not ordering something else like purple sweet potato or chako lol This shop really has been around forever. In Tokyo they're often called imagawayaki, but here they're obanyaki! The menu on the website linked in the overview says 150 yen, but as of December 8, 2025, they're 170 yen. Some are 200 yen, so watch out!

I've been passing by this place for years but had never bought anything, so after seeing the really good reviews, I got curious and went. The types of fillings seem to change from day to day and season to season, but that day they had ogura bean paste cream chocolate cheese ham white bean paste chestnut paste rare cheese potato cheese salad Those were the choices. I was curious about the savory obanyaki too, but I bought ogura bean paste and chocolate. They were sooo delicious. The designs stamped on them during baking are unique! I'd love to visit again!

I came from far away by monorail to buy here, only to be told, “I can only make 2 right now.” When I asked how long the others would take, he said, “I can't.” I bought just those 2. I'd come all that way just for this… The person ahead of me was waiting and chatting with him. After handing the items to me, who had arrived later, he went back to chatting with the earlier customer. I left thinking, couldn't he make them if I waited? I felt like he treated customers differently.
