After visiting the Sanrio world, we were searching for a place for sushi. We found this very local sushi shop. There were all Japanese customers. Although the boss can’t speak English, they try their best to communicate. Very yummy toro, very fresh sashimi. Due to the heavy rain, they offered us a ride to the train station. Thank you so much for being so nice to us❤️❤️

Professional chef, good food and warm staff. These are the best attributes of a local sushi restaurant. My family and I had a long day at Sanrio Puroland, we took a short walk over to this sushi place where we found on Google maps. The owners and staff were very welcoming and we were well received. They were patient and attentive to help us with our ordering when we have difficulty understanding the menu (language barrier). We chatted a little and they even offered my daughter ice cream, extra fruit and a pack of hello kitty gift snack. The sushi was great, fresh , the fish feels like it just melted in my mouth, the wasabi was just nice and the rice was sweet, firm and tasty. Would have ordered more but we were rushing to head back as it was late. Speaking of late, when we chat and the owners learnt that we were travelling by train, they immediately offered to drive us to the nearest train station which was about a 15mins walk uphill. Much appreciate their hospitality and good food, god bless them.

Tasty local sushi restaurant located in Tama. This restaurant offers lunch and dinner. It also accepts reservations. Please note that the menu is only in Japanese and has no pictures. The food is a good price for the quality, I recommend trying it out if you are in the area.

My family was looking for somewhere to eat after visiting Puroland. A nice quiet family run restaurant with about 8 seats total. The sushi was not only extremely affordable but extremely delicious!

As soon as you step inside, a well-worn “tsukedai” sushi serving ledge sits at the counter, offering a tangible sign of how long this restaurant has been making sushi. Tatami seating is also available in the back, and one of its charms is that it can comfortably accommodate groups or visits of 4〜6 people. The prices are surprisingly reasonable, with nigiri starting at 1,600円. Even the premium nigiri is 3,500円, making it a pleasure to enjoy authentic Edomae sushi so casually. There are 2 kinds of otoshi. The nukazuke, pickled to a perfect balance of salt, is a delicious dish that keeps the beer flowing all on its own. The dressed jellyfish and cucumber, with its pleasantly crunchy texture, is also perfect as a palate refresher. The premium nigiri features a luxurious lineup of toppings such as otoro, torokyu, uni, and akagai. The accompanying sake is “黒龍 いっちょらい,” an excellent match for sushi. Its crisp, dry flavor brings out the fish's savory taste even more. The additional ni-anago melts in your mouth and is exceptionally delicious. The refined tsume glaze, not overly sweet and allowing the fish's flavor to shine, is exquisite too. Before you leave, they offer warm asari clam miso soup and a small complimentary dessert, with heartwarming hospitality shining through in many little ways. The cheerful smiles and gentle manner of the head chef and his wife are probably the clearest proof of why this restaurant has remained loved by so many people for so many years.
