Fantastic !! This restaurant is located in the museum complex next to the Asian gallery. I visited the museum very often but never had a chance to eat here but last week I stopped by this restaurant I ordered a menu for about ¥5000 and I got to sit on the counter bar by the window. Also, it is raining that day, so the view was perfect!!! I can directly see the garden next to the museum, and the heater was a blessing for the cold day My set has a tempura and many side dish including marinated braised pork ,tuna sashimi, stir fry chicken and Salmon steak, all taste pretty great, but it is a bit too cold for me so not really complete, but but the view was unreal so a solid 5 star!!
View on GoogleThere is a queue but you can take a number and wait in the sitting area. Staff speaks basic English. Menu has variety serving Japanese and Western food. I didnt wait long for my food. The ingredients used are fresh and love the effort put in the food prep. Is a great choice to dine here after a tired visit at the museum.
View on GoogleLocated within the museum compound so a bit more expensive compared to other restaurants as expected. With that being said the food was delicious and the service was great. I went for the Yurinoki set which provided a great taster of Japanese cuisine. The sashimi was very fresh and the roast beef perfectly cooked. The tempura was also fantastic along with the selection of Japanese pickles. They also had a very nice craft beer available. Overall it was a great place to have a drink and bite to each after exploring the National Museum
View on GoogleNice lunch on the 4 May, during Golden week. Short wait during a busy lunch time. Good value and selection of both Japanese and Western dishes. Nice service.
View on GoogleThis restaurant inside Tokyo National Museum requires museum admission to access, making it essentially a captive audience situation. As practically the only dining option within the national park complex, it naturally draws crowds of hungry museum-goers throughout the day. The food quality is decent but nothing exceptional - think standard museum café fare rather than a culinary destination. Given the inevitable crowds and waiting times, I'd strongly recommend eating before entering the museum or planning your visit around off-peak meal hours. While it's convenient when you're already inside and don't want to leave the grounds, the combination of average food and long waits makes it more of a necessity than a pleasure. If you're planning a full day at the museum, consider packing snacks or timing your visit to avoid the lunch rush. It serves its purpose, but don't expect a memorable dining experience to complement your cultural visit.
