We visited to celebrate a family birthday and other occasions☺️ A restaurant where you can enjoy dishes mainly featuring yuba and tofu😃 If anything, perhaps yuba is more the star🎵 We had a course menu. When I hear yuba and tofu, I tend to imagine mostly lightly flavored dishes, but strongly and lightly seasoned dishes were served in good balance, so I never got bored and enjoyed everything right to the end❗☺️ I would like to visit again‼️

I have returned to 「湯葉と豆腐の梅の花テイクアウトショップ」 at Ueno Matsuzakaya many times. What I come for is, without a doubt, the nama-fu dengaku! Buying 2 sets is always my routine. The nama-fu dengaku here tastes exactly how I like it, and I cannot resist that chewy texture. I finish both sets in no time. Rather than focusing on how much the nama-fu itself costs, the balance between the miso and nama-fu is exquisite, and it is perfectly realized as nama-fu dengaku, so personally I actually find it inexpensive. It is delicious enough eaten cold just as it is after taking it home, but perhaps warming it a little would make it even better. Still, the nama-fu dengaku served at the restaurant is truly special! Being able to enjoy it freshly made and piping hot makes it taste even better. When I have time, I visit the Ueno Hirokoji branch, where you can dine in, but when I do not, takeout from this Matsuzakaya branch is my only choice. I am truly grateful to be able to enjoy Umenohana's flavors easily at home! I will keep coming back.

An excellent restaurant where you can enjoy authentic Japanese food at fair prices. Private rooms are the standard, so I could spend my time peacefully.
