Chanced upon this Yakiniku restaurant on Google Map and decided to give it a try. They did not disappoint! Their A5 Wagyu loin was juicy and buttery smooth — “melt in your mouth”! Prices are relatively affordable too! I’d highly recommend this restaurant if you’re near Yanaka Ginza!

Great yakuniku!!! Quality of meat is excellent, with some arriving marinated in an amazing wet rub. Highly recommend the liver, beef tongue, and the high grade beef (like Kobe beef). Great service. Limited seats though, but we didn't have any issues finding a place for 3 around 18:30.

Tansei Nippori Yanaka is a cozy yakiniku restaurant in the old-town atmosphere of Yanaka. It serves high-grade yakiniku meat at affordable prices. We ordered 4 dishes, which included prime short rib, shanks, and rib fingers. Our orders were around 1400-1900 yen each. The restaurant is suited for solos or pairs, we were seated at the kitchen bar area, where you may be able to see the staff prepare the meat cuts. For groups of three and above, there are tables that can accomodate up to a maximum of 4-6, depending on the table you get. Seating is not wheelchair friendly however. Service is quick and responsive. Toilet utilities are very clean.

Randomly came across this place when walking to our hotel. Best yakiniku ever on a charcoal, even more classic. Meat so soft and melt in your mouth! Good quality beef! Great service & ambience.

I was a new kid in the hood, tuck in the rain and Tansei for the rescue! Excellent foods, I ordered beef shank and egg soup. Both were amazing, just very comforting. And also, the waitress was very nice to me even I don’t speak Japanese. Well done!
