A great place to enjoy authentic Japanese food near the Ueno Park sightseeing area. Lunch is affordable, and the dishes are thoughtfully prepared. The dessert at the end is distinctive too. Highly recommended.

A kaiseki restaurant on 東天紅 9F. Quiet, with a good view. It's on the opposite side from Lucis, so the view faces the University of Tokyo. The weekday lunch (1700円) is a good deal.

Located on the 9th floor of 東天紅 beside Ueno's Shinobazu Pond, with a view overlooking the pond. I think it's ideal for meals with family and friends, and you can also order individual dishes, which is enjoyable.

I was treated to kaiseki cuisine at the gathering after my elder sister-in-law's interment ceremony, and it was satisfying. The one disappointment was that I didn't find the Peking duck particularly tasty.
