A soba/ udon restaurant located next to the minowa station gate. The menu just provides Japanese language. Then we just try to order. Then just only soba/ udon noodle🍜 we get, because we don’t know Japanese language. But the food was nice!
View on GoogleVery tasty and good PRICE. (750) Will come back. The owner is a quiet, but helpful man, especially to foreigners (gaijin). Simple meal but very very satisfying. A lot of options to customize. No English menu version. Need to translate it by yourself. Just pick osusume (recommended). YOU WILL BE HAPPY!
View on GoogleIt's a soba/udon restaurant that's next to the minowa station entrance gate. The menu is clearly displayed outside the shop, with corresponding numbers for each set. The menu is arranged in the exact same way as how it is on the machine that'll take your order inside the shop, making it particularly easy to place your order. You will have to choose between soba or udon when you give your order ticket to the staff. Honestly, I think the food served at this restaurant is delicious, especially considering the fact that it's so cheap (around 400-700 yen per meal). The only problem is that it closes quite early for a restaurant, so you're not very likely to be able to take your dinner there. The (bald) owner is also quite a nice person.
View on GoogleI had the kakesoba and gesoten (squid tempura). At first glance, the noodle portion looked small and the gesoten size was a bit underwhelming, but once I tried it, the quality of the noodles, the straightforward deliciousness of the broth, and the texture of the gesoten combined for a superb experience. The way the green onions were cut and the amount used were also perfect. I ended up ordering an extra cold soba. It also had top-notch flavor and texture. I was surprised to find such delicious soba at a standing-soba shop. I plan to come eat here every time I visit Minowa. As for the service, the owner has the aura of a dedicated craftsman, which I think is good.
View on GoogleI'm Tokyo Bocchi, eating my way through Tokyo. I was curious about the shop name 'Toge no Soba' so I came here. There was a sign saying the rice menu was sold out. I thought it was a standing-only shop, but there were seats. I went around 4 PM on a weekday and there were about 5 customers. It's popular, which makes sense given it's located just 10 seconds from the Hibiya Minowa station exit! I checked online beforehand and it said the silent owner was a highlight. I didn't get that impression when I went, maybe the staff changes depending on the time? I'm curious so I'll visit again when I'm in the area. This place not only has a great dashi aroma, but they fry the tempura fresh when you order! The gesoten was crispy and delicious! Next time I'm curious about the udon, thanks for the meal! ⚠️Note: Cash only. ▪️Ordered: Soba (regular) ¥380, Gesoten ¥210. 📍 Toge no Soba. Address: 2-14-8 Minowa, Taito-ku, Tokyo. Access: About 1 min walk from Minowa Station. Closed: Sunday. About 500 yen per person. [Comment if you're hungry] [Follow] and [Save] if you're interested.
