We had an amazing meal at this Japanese restaurant near Sensō-ji Temple in Tokyo. It’s located in a small alley, a bit hidden away from the crowds, which makes it even more special. We tried the tonkatsu with rice and some sake, and everything was absolutely delicious. The manager, Kie, was incredibly kind and attentive. We asked for a table in the tatami area to enjoy a more traditional Japanese experience, and it was perfect. We liked it so much that we came back two days later to eat there again. Highly recommended, 100%! ありがとうスタッフのみなさん! (Arigatō sutaffu no minasan! – Thank you to all the staff!)

View on GoogleA local from Asakusa recommended this hidden gem tucked away in a narrow alley. It’s a small place but worth a visit. The atmosphere was so authentic, I was the only tourist at dinner time. Yuuki spoke perfect English and the comforting, delicious food was so good I even asked for an extra serving.
View on GoogleI found this tonkatsu restaurant through a Google search and decided to visit it right away. First, the interior design has a very comfortable and warm Japanese-style atmosphere. It feels cozy and welcoming as soon as you step inside. Second, the staff are very patient and take the time to explain their tonkatsu in detail. They even include hand-drawn illustrations on the menu to show guests the best way to enjoy their pork cutlet, which is a nice and thoughtful touch. Finally, the tonkatsu itself is excellent. It is made from pork loin, perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy, with just the right level of crispiness. When paired with their salt and mustard, it tastes absolutely delicious. Having a bite of tonkatsu together with fresh shredded cabbage makes the meal even more satisfying. The set also comes with a bowl of miso soup, which makes the whole meal very filling.
