This was my very first meal in Tokyo after a long flight and an even longer train ride into town. I stumbled upon this restaurant and was immediately drawn in by its inviting exterior, hoping it would be a good pick. Fortunately, it turned out to be a great choice. Their tonkatsu made with Hokkaido pork is the standout recommendation. We tried three different cuts of pork, and each one was flavorful, tender, and genuinely satisfying. One thing to keep in mind: they require at least one main dish per person, except for children.

Tonkatsu Oribe serves perfectly crispy, golden-breaded tonkatsu with a satisfying crunch. You can choose between regular or large portions, making it suitable for different appetites. They have sitting at upper floor as well. Prices are reasonable, and the service is quick and efficient—great for a convenient and delicious meal at Asakusa area.

Super clean and casual place with friendly staff and delicious food! Finally getting my katsu on…SO good, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Great meal after a rainy day of shopping!

Hands down the best tonkatsu I’ve ever eaten! Every bite was perfectly crisp on the outside and incredibly tender and juicy inside — it truly takes the tonkatsu experience to a whole new level. The quality and flavor are outstanding, and it’s clear that great care is put into both preparation and presentation. There was a bit of a wait before the food was served, but honestly, it was totally worth it. The anticipation only made the experience more exciting, and the first bite immediately justified the wait. The service was excellent — staff were attentive, polite, and made us feel very welcomed throughout the entire meal. On top of that, the space is cozy and thoughtfully designed, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience. If you’re a fan of Japanese food — or just great food in general — this place is an absolute must-try. I’d come back in a heartbeat!
