This modest restaurant near Sensō-ji serves the best ramen I’ve had in Asakusa, maybe even Japan. The menu is simple and drinks options are beer and water. Ordering is easy - grab a meal ticket through the vending machine (menu items written in Japanese and English; accepts cash only) and take a seat with your tickets laid out on the table. We ordered the pork ramen with egg and the sesame dragon grilled ramen. The pork broth was rich, comforting, and full of depth without being too heavy. The grilled ramen was equally delicious and well presented. The portions were generous, making it great value for money. Despite the owner, Shin, running the entire operation alone as the chef, waiter, host, and dishwasher he remains warm and attentive to every diner. The care and effort he puts into each dish shines in presentation and flavour. This place is a gem in Asakusa that’s well worth supporting.
View on GoogleWas trying to find a Tonkotsu Ramen and was having no luck and stumbled across this little place. The owner speaks very good English and was super helpful. I ordered the garlic Tonkotsu with extra pork and an egg , and it was damn near the best Ramen I’ve ever had. The broth was rich and creamy and the noodles plump and tender . Had originally intended to go to Ichi Ran but so glad I came here instead
View on GoogleGot the firey dragon ramen in chicken flavor, it's also available in vegetarian. Excellent flavor, spicy but not too much, chewy noodles, and served with a side of rice to soak up the last of the sauce. Only 1000 yen, or a little over 6 USD. Both hosts were extremely kind and accommodating, and the place had a very cozy, local feel. Cannot recommend enough.
View on GoogleAmazing place. Had the #1 (Firey Dragon Grilled Ramen) and #2 (Sesame Dragon Grilled Ramen) menu items. Both were delicious. Great value and Chef is friendly and entertaining. Highly recommend.
View on GoogleHands down my favorite ramen in Tokyo. We came back multiple times during our trip, and it never disappointed once. The chef clearly takes pride in the craft, and the service matched the quality of the food, attentive without being intrusive. If you’re looking for one ramen spot to prioritize in Tokyo, this is it.
