It's near my office, but its understated presence meant this was my first visit. I ordered set B, with rice and fried items on one plate. Solidly tasty. 950円. The kind of meal that makes you think, no wonder it's popular. Customers kept coming nonstop. It's inexpensive and delicious, so I'd like to come back.

Lunch A had apparently sold out early, so I ordered lunch B with hamburg steak, fried shrimp, and katsu. The hamburg steak had a rich meaty flavor, and the fried items were light and crisp. It was a very delicious lunch. The service was wonderful too: they carefully guided people as seats opened up, and even though the two of us paid together, they gave our 100円 change as 2 coins of 50円. Apparently it's a popular place, so lunch can sell out unless you arrive early.

I came looking for jumbo fried shrimp. Unfortunately, they said it would take some time, so I gave up on it this time. Lunch B came with fried shrimp and katsu, so we ordered that along with my katsu curry. Inside, it was mostly regulars coming and going. Everyone was eating set meals and other dishes that hadn't sold out yet. Perhaps it's run by just a husband and wife. Maybe the oil is good: the fried shrimp and katsu were subtly sweet even without sauce, with crisp breadcrumbs standing up. Mmm, really delicious. The katsu curry also had classic curry sauce and crispy pork loin katsu. The taste reminded me of old neighborhood Western-style restaurants. By 12:30, all the set meals and similar dishes had sold out. I'd like to come a little earlier next time. Apparently they aren't currently open in the evening.

I recommend the set meals for their excellent value. I visited at lunchtime. I'd been curious about this place, but I usually went after noon and lunch was sold out.. This time I finally managed to get set B! It sold out while I was waiting for my order, so it must be their signature dish. It included fried shrimp, pork fillet katsu, and hamburg steak, everyone's favorites lol. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much for 950円, but the fried shrimp had a proper shrimp bite to it! My biggest mistake was not getting a large portion of rice, but the meal was extremely satisfying. Next time I'll pay extra for a large portion!
