This is the first-ever Kaiten-sushi restaurant I've tried in my entire stay here in Japan. The sushi here are very fresh and cheap! (¥110, tax included). My favourite is the seared mackerel sushi with pepper-mayonnaise😋
View on GoogleMy partner and I had the Akaji Ebi Tenju and the Oson Barachirashi. The ebi tenju has 8 shrimp! There's plenty of rice too, so it's really hearty and heavy. The shrimp tempura was crispy, not just batter but real shrimp, and delicious. It comes with soba, so I was stuffed. The barachirashi had quite a lot of kinds of toppings; my impression was better than what others said, it was reasonably tasty. This one came with soba too, so again I was stuffed. For lunch, with this taste and price, wouldn't you call it a passing grade? Recommended for those who value cost performance.
View on GoogleI had the omakase sushi 1.5-serving platter (1,230円). For this amount, I think this price is cheap. It tastes better than conveyor-belt sushi and the service was polite. Next time I want to try the tempura.
View on GoogleUeno 4-chome, Taito Ward. A sushi restaurant whose home base is Sapporo. While enjoying a local sake from Hokkaido, I ordered the house-made sanshozuke and a yama-wasabi hosomaki. I was braced for the heat of the sanshozuke. I put just a little on the hosomaki. Delicious, but hot as expected. The impact of the chopped green chili is no joke. The heat blows away any tipsiness, and the flavor is splendid. After that, I also ordered a sashimi platter, dobin mushi, and simmered anago nigiri, and asked for the check at a nice point. The friendly sushi chef took good care of me; thank you for the meal this time.
View on GoogleThe shop is on the 2nd floor up a flight of stairs, right by Ueno-Hirokoji Station. Since it's a sushi place, there are lots of counter seats right as you enter, and there seem to be raised private rooms in the back. We went without a reservation around 13:00 on a public holiday and luckily got seated, but a line formed right after. The ebi tenju from the lunch menu, which we came for, comes with soba, and you can choose cold zaru soba or hot soba. The tempura is pretty heavy, so even in the cold season I recommend the refreshing zaru soba lol It was served quickly, in under 10 minutes, but the volume was insane! I think there were 8 shrimp tempura on top, and no matter how much I ate it never seemed to go down... There was also vegetable tempura like sweet potato, pumpkin, shishito, and maitake. There's tempura sauce to pour on afterwards, but it's quite strongly flavored, so I ate it without adding any. It was really delicious, but there was a good amount of soba too and the tempura hit my stomach, so even though I went in starving, I ended up leaving some of the white rice... So if you go as a pair, I recommend ordering it together with the barachirashi and sharing◎! We both got the ebi tenju, so we both suffered lol It was delicious❤︎ So full〜!
