A great place to experience traditional Japanese dining. The restaurant has a charming, authentic atmosphere, and the okonomiyaki was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the visit. The place was quiet and relaxing, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. One of the highlights is that you can cook the okonomiyaki yourself, which adds a fun and memorable experience. Definitely worth a visit if you want to try authentic okonomiyaki.
View on GoogleMake-your-own okonomiyaki, with the staff more than happy to help. Vegetarian okonomiyaki was very good. Note - pile on the sauce! Also, it does not have aircon so may get a bit warm on hotter days.
View on GoogleI stopped by Sometarō Okonomiyaki restaurant in the late afternoon, so it was quiet and easy to get a table. The shoeless entrance and cooking the okonomiyaki yourself made it feel a bit different from the usual restaurant experience, which I appreciated. Service was a little underwhelming while the staff were on break, so overall it felt more average than special, but still an interesting visit.
View on GoogleA true hidden gem 💎 for okonomiyaki! This place feels like stepping into traditional Japan—the atmosphere is cozy and authentic. You sit on the floor around a small grill in the center and cook your own okonomiyaki right in front of you. It’s such a fun and unique experience, and the food turns out delicious every time. The experience overall was 10/10. I’ll definitely be coming back on my next trip—already looking forward to it!
View on GoogleBest meal in Japan that we had. So fun, so old school and most importantly so delicious. They bring you the Okonomiyaki that you selected in a bowl, then you cook it yourself all while sitting on the floor!
