Small space, delicious authentic chinese food

Daily lunch (choice of 3 dishes)　￥1,400.- Another visit after three years, this time to 彩芳. I used to eat here so often when I was an office worker. This place is famous for its mapo tofu. The lunch menu lists 3 dishes and says you can choose 2 for 1,100 yen, but if you ask, they will serve all 3. Of course, choosing all 3 is the only way to go here, right? I was told they sometimes close because of health issues. I hope they take care of themselves and continue serving delicious food for many years to come. Thanks for the meaaal😋😋😋😍😍

This is the renowned Sichuan restaurant 『彩芳』, pronounced Saihou. For lunch, you choose 2 of 3 side dishes. Rice, soup, and zha cai are included. The price is 1100 yen. Today I chose mapo tofu and stir-fried shredded pork with cabbage. Mapo tofu is always available, while the other 2 dishes change every 2 days. Options include stir-fried vegetables, qingjiao rousi, stir-fried chicken and celery, eggplant stir-fried with sweet miso, stir-fried greens and shiitake, and more. Whenever I go, the food is very carefully prepared and absolutely delicious.

I enjoyed lunch at the renowned Chinese restaurant 「彩芳」 in Suehirocho! When I arrived at lunchtime, there was already a line outside. I had heard about it, but it really is popular. After a short wait, I finally got inside. I ordered their signature mapo tofu lunch. It was absolutely fantastic! The tingling aroma of Sichuan pepper and deep, spicy flavor paired perfectly with the rice. It was not just spicy but packed with umami, so I couldn't stop eating. The portion was generous too, leaving me completely satisfied. I could see exactly why people line up. Lunchtime gets busy, but this place is worth the wait! I want to go again!

2024/7/5 (Friday) It was unusually quiet, so I got in just before 12 without waiting You can choose 2 dishes for 1000 yen, but I wanted everything and couldn't decide, so once again I ordered all 3 for 1300 yen The standard mapo tofu, stir-fried eggs and mushrooms, and stir-fried cabbage with shredded pork Includes rice, soup, zha cai, and jasmine tea The mapo tofu is on the spicy side and absolutely delicious! I don't like zha cai and usually pass on it elsewhere, but 彩芳's zha cai is delicious and highly recommended♬
