Chinese restaurant, catering quick and delicious!
View on GoogleVisited at lunchtime on a weekday and ordered the ginger pork bowl from the 3 daily specials; it was 1000 yen. The ginger pork has a nostalgic, old-fashioned seasoning that goes great with rice, and the rice portion is pretty large too. It also comes with almond tofu—for 1000 yen I think that's great value.
View on GoogleAlthough the restaurant's name boasts Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, the mapo tofu is completely different from Sichuan in seasoning, cooking method, and ingredients! I at least wanted the aroma of Sichuan pepper. I ordered the mapo-topped fried rice, but the fried rice underneath wasn't fried rice at all‼️ Just white rice with a tiny bit of egg, briefly cooked in a wok!😂 Very disappointing result. The stir-fried chicken and cashews was ordinary, but that wasn't Sichuan seasoning either. It's a typical neighborhood Chinese place run by Chinese people, and the quality is below average, I'd say.
View on GoogleThe mapo tofu was delicious. It's a bit oily but not greasy, so it was really tasty. Also, you can adjust the spice level, which is good.
View on GoogleStopped by during the Asakusa Seven Lucky Gods pilgrimage. It's a place that's neither good nor bad. I had the mapo fried rice, and it was surprisingly filling. Prices are reasonable too.
