One of the most affordable specialty coffee cafes in Tokyo. And of course great value! Good selection of beans. Helpful, English-speaking staff. I stayed at a hotel nearby and felt so lucky to have a coffee at Shelves almost everyday that week. Will definitely come back!

I stopped by for a quick coffee break and ordered a latte. The latte art was beautiful, and the drink itself was smooth and well-balanced—rich espresso flavor with silky milk, not too sweet. The space felt calm and tidy, with a relaxed vibe that made it easy to slow down for a moment. I also liked that it wasn’t overly noisy, so it was comfortable even when visiting alone. If you’re nearby and want a quality latte and a peaceful pause from sightseeing, this is a great spot.

Tried the Honey Milk Latte (less sweet) and a burnt cheesecake today. The latte was smooth, lightly fragrant, and not too sweet—easy to drink and well-balanced. The burnt cheesecake was creamy with a nice caramelized top, not overly heavy or sugary. The café itself has a calm, quiet atmosphere, which makes it a nice spot to relax for a bit. Simple, but really enjoyable overall ☕

Many choices of beans you can should for hand-drip coffee in reasonable price 🫶🏼 If you have no idea about the beans you can ask those friendly baristas or just order "Today coffee" . I can tell here is very good atmosphere from local customers I've seen in the cafe. Some of them reading book, some of them drawing and some of them exchange game card while they are waiting for the coffee. Such a lively cafe 🫶🏼✨

Had two pour over coffee both from Colombia that was fruity and the other from Brazil cinnamon and brown sugar. Also loved the cheesecake that we had. Great place for different varieties of pour over coffee. Most of them are light roast. People here are very warm and welcoming. :)
