The drinking snacks are cheap and generously portioned. Everything was delicious. The sashimi assortment had generous portions of octopus chunks, hiramasa, and engawa for 900円. Both the sashimi and its garnish were fresh. The onion tempura was crisp, too. They suggested salt or soy sauce, so I started with salt, then switched to grated daikon and soy sauce for a refreshing change. The fried and soaked eggplant and shishito also had lovely dashi flavor〜. The portions are large, so you can't order many different dishes, and there was no menu on the table, so I didn't know what drinks were available... Check at the entrance before going in! Returned for lunch. There were 3 choices: a fish set, a meat set, and a ginger pork set. I arrived at 13:00, but the ginger pork had already sold out. Only about 3 fish sets remained, too. Last orders are at 13:30, so they only prepare what they can sell out〜. The fried item did seem like a commercially prepared product they'd fried, but everything else had that dependable taste of Mom's cooking. The rice portions are generous, too, so light eaters should ask for less〜
View on GoogleThere are 3 lunch sets, A, B, and C, paid for when ordering. The food arrives very quickly after ordering. Large rice portions are free. Inside, there are 3 four-person tables and 3 two-person tables. Tables and chairs are properly disinfected after each meal, so it's very clean and reassuring. Customer service is good, too.
View on GoogleThe location, service, and clientele all give it the feel of a locals' place. The blackboard (whiteboard) menu is extensive, and I was satisfied with the inventive dishes. It's reasonably priced, and I'd like to stop by again when I'm nearby.
View on GoogleVisited before 13:00 on a weekday. There were 3 options: A (fish), B (meat), and C. I felt like fish, so I ordered A. Note that payment is upfront. The set included grilled hokke, a minced chicken cutlet, pork nikujaga, miso soup, and rice. The seasoning was just right, not too strong, and it felt like good value. Next time I'd like to try lunch B.
View on GoogleIt seems to be a drinking spot at night, but it's also open for lunch. Inside feels a little cramped, with three two-person tables and three? four? four-person tables. There were counter seats at the back. Lunch A is a Japanese set centered on fish. Lunch B is a Western-style set centered on meat. Lunch C is a slightly cheaper set. Large portions are free for all of them. Perhaps because I entered right when they opened, the croquette was piping hot and crispy, and the simmered dish was warm and well infused with flavor. Today's A set was Saikyo-grilled akodai. It had lots of small bones, but tasted good. Displayed prices include tax.
