Great place for lunch! Went for dinner, they still offer the complete meals, so easy on the wallet. They have Sapporo Kuro Label Beer in frozen mugs, awesome! Only thing is smoking at night, so not visiting at night anymore. Super friendly service though!!

Time for fragrant Shanghai noodles The popular scallion sauce noodles at 「蘭氏食苑」 in 浅草橋 are addictive. The toasted aroma of scallion oil spreads, with rich sauce coating the chewy noodles deliciously. One slurp releases a burst of fragrance, so tasty you can't put your chopsticks down. A neighborhood Chinese restaurant for grown-ups, where authentic Shanghai cuisine is easy to enjoy. Thank you for the meal☆

Honestly, I think this restaurant's exterior does it a real disservice. I didn't expect much at first glance, but once inside, the xiaolongbao turned out to be genuinely high quality. One lunch option comes with 3, and I ordered it partly out of curiosity. It was a winner. Rather than the uniform feel of frozen products, the thin wrappers had a delicate, handmade quality, with a lovely softness when lifted. The wrappers weren't too heavy, and biting into them released the soup and filling together nicely, delivering that satisfying xiaolongbao experience. Judge it by appearances and you'd probably walk past, which would be a shame. It certainly struck a chord with me. To make a bold statement, I preferred it to 鼎泰豊 at スカイツリー. The modest storefront lowers your expectations, making the surprise when you eat even greater. Places like this, where “walking in means winning,” deserve more recognition.

【Yakisoba with delicious crispy browned bits】 I visited to meet an acquaintance. I ordered the ankake yakisoba set for 1,100円. The noodles had plenty of my favorite “slightly charred, hardened bits,” which were fragrant and delicious. Along with the vegetable ankake yakisoba, it came with a slightly mild soup, zha cai (ザーサイ), and annin tofu. Well balanced and satisfying. At 19 on a weekday, there were only 2 of us inside, as if we had the place to ourselves.

A place for authentic Shanghai cuisine in 浅草橋. I had boiled gyoza, pork sausage, and ankake yakisoba. I often visit neighborhood Chinese restaurants, but this one is a little different and delicious. These dishes plus 2 highballs came to around 3500円, which is reasonable. Lunch is inexpensive too. Paying with PayPay was convenient.
