Located in a little street close to our hotel. Really nice older couple who was very welcoming and kind. They noticed almost immediately that we were not locals and the lady did her best to answer our questions as we were looking for meat-free dishes. ChatGPT helps a lot with translation! 😅 We got the vegetarian stir fry with rice which includes the mini ramen. It was an incredibly nourishing and delicious meal for one, which I paid ¥1000 for. The taste was 青菜 (simple ingredients, not greasy). Very fair pricing for the amount of food that I got. I would come back again. We got here right when it opened (11AM) with no wait, although there were already two people eating inside. I can see that this place can get busy later during the day.
View on GoogleIn my first week of visiting Japan my friends and I were getting accustomed to the food within the local population. Our crave for ramen lead to a nearby corner alley very close to our hotel, less than 5 minutes away, and we were treated and welcomed by a sweet old lady along with the cook who welcomed us and ready to serve. Communication was a bit of a struggle due to our lack of knowing Japanese, regardless of that struggle we relied on translation apps. The three of us ordered the Miso Ramen -highly recommend-and within 10 minutes at most we were presented with an ample amount within each of our bowls. The broth alone was filled with superb flavor and given to us was even a spice powder on the side that we could add to our own bowls. The sweet lady recommended we do so. Whereas my friends absolutely enjoyed them combined, I myself much more enjoyed the ramen standalone. I can’t lie, it did add an extra taste I wanted more of. I could not help it. I DEVOURED the entire bowl. The flavor was rich, fresh, it was filled with love and compassion from the combined effort of both the sweet lady and the fine gentleman of a cook. You can tell that both of them really care about your experience and want to offer what I consider to be the closest thing to grandmas and grandpas cooking! I look forward to revisiting in the future and highly recommend coming here if you are in the area!

View on GoogleRaifukutei Higashi-Asakusa (Sanya) The Yoshino-dori street that heads to Minami-Senju from Asakusa through Sanya is a large street with few pedestrians, but I love the wonderful Yudonburi Sakaeyu near this street, Hariya Shoten that sells cheap gatsu, and other restaurants, but I overlooked this shop. It is a downtown Chinese cuisine run by a couple in their late 70s, and it is narrow. 1000 yen service menu fried rice set. If possible, I would like the ramen to be a full serving, but it seems each will be the list price. Fried rice is in a large amount and moist, the kind I like. Since fried rice seems to be the seller, maybe half ramen is enough. It is a serious shop that does not lower the curtain until closing at 14:00.
View on GoogleToday I took a paid leave, so I went there on purpose. I went after 1 PM on a weekday. I thought about making it a regular ramen set, but I ordered a large portion. If you make it a large portion, the amount is quite large, so people who eat little should be careful. The taste is a nostalgic taste, and the fried rice is a little thin, but I think it's just right because it seems like I'll get bored by the time I eat the large portion. The ramen is also delicious and I want to try other menus next time.
