Rushed me through the vending machine selection process and pressured me to hurry up. Just made the ramen without asking for my preferences. It was terrible and I thought about leaving after tasting the ramen but I wanted to fill my stomach with what I paid for. The gyoza was not bad. Undercooked noodles and very thick slices of pork. I’ve never left a review on a restaurant before but this one was so bad that I made an exception. Worst ramen I’ve had in Japan. Still better than American ramen.

It is not a fancy shop, but the noodles are made with care. I tried 油そば the oil noodles, it was just about the best I've ever had. There was a little bit of bean paste at the bottom of the bowl.

Delicious Yokohama style ramen. Customers have to configure your own ramen such as texture of noodle: soft, medium, hard. Soup normal, oily and few more. Normal price. Nice service.

This ramen shop is very delicious!! The noodle is just perfect for me (and for ones who loves firm noodle too). The soup is thick and very tasty. The ramen chef is also nice and I also love how they greet the guest when I entered the ramen-ya. Highly recommend for anyone who want to have good ramen and comfort atmosphere.

A hole in the wall just behind Mitsui Garden hotel when you come out of the Ueno station at exit 1. Great ramen with a hearty rich flavored soup and meaty gyoza; the only reason I put 4 stars for service is there is so little English. It is self service, get a ticket at the vending machine with the minute pictures to choose your meal. Be sure to go armed with google translate or have your hotel write it down if you prefer your ramen (noodles) soft because if not, it is usually more al dente than I like. If you are a bland eater, also be prepared to ask for less salt. For me, perfect. Counter service only. However😊, despite the language difficulties, the resulting product is still good enough for me to return 3 x or every time I’ve been in Tokyo since I first tried it in February 2023. Not cheap, prices have gone up a bit since February and if memory serves, the cheapest bowl of ramen there now us 750 yen. Granted the serving is huge. I can only finish half of the noodles if I’m having gyoza as well. No half orders of noodles or of gyoza here only full orders of 6 pieces for 300 yen.
