A reassuringly traditional bento shop with generous side dishes and warm rice. Its signature Deka Kara Bento is especially impressive, with a crisp coating and juicy interior that make it very satisfying. The home-style seasoning never gets boring, making it perfect when you want a substantial meal. Ordering through pickup is smooth, making it convenient even when you're busy. Prices are reasonable and offer good value, making it just right for everyday meals. Recommended when you want an easy, filling meal in Asakusabashi.
View on GoogleVisited 2025/1. This shop is near Asakusabashi Station. It's famous for huge karaage, so I ordered Deka Kara 2 with an extra-large rice portion. 600円. The karaage was soy-sauce-based, with 2 large pieces of thigh meat. The rice felt like about 400g. The karaage was well seasoned◎. It's faultless as a side dish, but gets a little repetitive, so I recommend adding furikake or another dish from the nearby supermarket.
View on GoogleDeka 5 karaage bento with extra-large rice 1050円 As a big eater, the portion is just right for me (since I only eat one meal a day). Any more would actually be impossible. Freshly fried and delicious. I'll go again when I'm nearby.
View on GoogleI found out that Nihontei, whose huge karaage I love, had a shop in Asakusabashi, so I visited. Ordered 3 huge karaage pieces to take out. Huh? Really unfriendly. Aren't the prices higher than elsewhere too? I took them home and tried them, but compared with other branches, they were tough, perhaps overfried.
View on GoogleStudent bento 550円. A fried-food-and-white-rice bento with 2 karaage pieces bigger than golf balls and slightly smaller than tennis balls, a croquette, and fried white fish. Very filling. The included tartar sauce is a quietly nice touch. By evening I definitely had heartburn. ……But it was very delicious.
