Quaint little soba spot in the quiet alleys of Asakusa, away from the busy tourist side. One of the best sobas I’ve had. The tempura was incredible - light airy batter with a great crunch. They provide a broth to pour into your soba sauce when you’re done with your noodles to create a bowl of broth which was so good.
View on GoogleFood was amazing, definitely recommend stopping in. If you aren’t comfortable with Japanese, they have an English guide to the ticketing machine. You can go alone or with friends. Know that if you aren’t particularly hungry you should get the small, the medium is a safe bet if you’re afraid of having too much food and the large is very generous. I recommend getting the standard array of toppings they have an option for.
View on GoogleSoba portions was enough. Noodle itself fresh, stretchy good texture, veggies tempura crunchy, slices are not too thick, but a bit oily just right after fried. Actually for the price its a bit high from average. Place was not too spacy, i think its for 10 person only, but seems they have secondfloor.
View on GoogleAmazing authentic place with full of locals. It’s very low key and not many tourists join the queue for this. Queued for 40mins and waited for 20mins. Tenzuro set is really good. Tempura is light and crunchy, yet tasty. Soba is cooked the perfection and the dipping sauce is amazing. All in all it’s a refreshing meal which I recommend. The only downside is its price point at 2200 yen, which is pricey compared to other options. Hence, the 4 stars.
View on GooglePerfect sets of soba! Very memorable! We had both a cold and hot soba, and they were were very unique in taste and so so good. The cold soba had a grated yam dipping sauce, and has such a subtle but memorable taste! Staff was very nice in explaining to us how we're supposed to eat it (mix yam sauce with soba sauce and wasabi, and dip soba in), while the hot soup had a strong richness of egg with a very clear and clean broth. Must try when in asakusa!
