A tourist with a million food options but this is a repeat visit. The summer cold noodles blew my mind omg. Chanced into this very unsuspecting shop tucked in a corner the first time round but this noodle is worth travelling down to get 👅😋 I got the extra serving of noodles (aedama) in shoyu sauce and I’m not a big eater but wow it went straight in my belly.
View on GoogleA very interesting tasting ramen with anchovies as the soup base. The egg and pork tastes really good too. You can add an additional bowl of noodle "kaedama" that is with either soy sauce "syoyu" or salt "shio". A very small shop with only 8 counter top seats. Went there at 10.50am and there is already a line with 12 people so I have to wait for the 1st round of people to finish. As I was eating, a long line formed outside the store again. Highly recommended.
View on GoogleLooking for a special ramen ? Located a few seconds from the station. This ramen shop noodle is different than usual which is a little harder. This noodle style if I am not wrong comes from the South of Japan. Doesn’t have a lot of seats which has about 8 in total. Personally, it is not my favorite one but there is a reason why it is among the top 100 ramen shop in Tokyo. The broth is good and special topping as well. If you are nearby this station I would recommend to try it.
View on GoogleDid not like the ramen here, sorry. It seems like it is a different type of ramen they prepare here. It has a very strong anchovy smell and taste. Not the conventional miso or spicy miso ramen, I am used to. Order via the machine (all in Japanese). So I had no idea what I ordered. But it tasted a lot like ham. Pretty good ham though. Small store. 8 seats only. Not sure why Tabelog (Japanese version of Yelp) rated this ramen store the best in Taito at 3.85 (considered high by Tokyo standards). Paid JPY950 per pax.
View on GoogleAnchovy based ramen - I think the Shoyu somehow further accentuates the anchovy flavor and makes the taste unmistakable. I also liked the noodles which are firm & chewy...
