A coffee shop with smoking and nonsmoking seating on separate floors. I visited on a weekend, and it certainly seemed popular, with around 2 groups waiting outside. It strikes me as one of Ueno's precious few traditional jun kissa. There's a time limit, and the shop feels busy. It might be a little calmer on weekdays. This coffee shop offers several set meals, which was much appreciated since I was hungry. I ordered the ginger pork set meal and had coffee, enjoying everyday life. Apparently coffee shops open on Sundays are unusual around here.

A coffee shop with a calm atmosphere. I came alone around 15:00 and got in immediately without waiting. I ordered katsu curry, coffee, and no-bake cheesecake. The katsu curry had a comforting, old-fashioned flavor, and I could also take my time enjoying the coffee and cheesecake afterward. The separate nonsmoking and smoking seating is another plus. It's easy to visit alone and recommended when you want some quiet time.

I found this place while looking for a café to take a break, so I went in. I was shown to the nonsmoking 1st basement floor and placed my order. The staff come to take your order, but it took a little while because it was lunchtime. I think it's best to go when you have time to wait leisurely. I like the overall Showa-style design, though you may want to be careful about the stair heights and seat sizes. I had the cheesecake and hot coffee set for 900円. The coffee had a strong aroma and a distinctive flavor, and it became a favorite. My friend ordered a coffee float and said it was delicious. I'd like to visit again next time I'm in Ueno.
