I was looking for a traditional kissaten in Akihabara and visited because it was near the station The interior is completely Showa retro, and apparently it has been used as a film location There was only 1 other group of customers, so I got the owner's permission to take my time photographing the interior, and the view from what might be a mezzanine? was fantastic, with an atmosphere that hardly felt like the Reiwa era The coffee was delicious too

They have a breakfast set from 9:00~10:00. It was 550円 for coffee, toast, scrambled eggs, and a little salad. The interior has a charming retro feel, and I think people who like that style will enjoy it. Smoking is allowed, so I imagine it's an oasis for smokers.

2026.4 update Since the price increase, lunchtime has become relatively less busy. It's an old-fashioned kissaten with a Showa retro atmosphere that is sometimes used for filming. Lunchtime is always lively, and customers who aren't ordering food are turned away, so be aware! Both the master and the lady owner are lovely people, and it's a place where I can relax whenever I visit. I often order the ginger pork set meal. It's not exceptionally delicious, but it's a favorite dish of mine that feels nostalgic and comforting. Smoking is allowed, so I think it's safest to avoid it if you dislike cigarette smoke. At lunchtime, it's almost full of regulars who come to smoke. I don't know about other times.

I visited for lunch! An old-fashioned café with a wonderfully characterful interior. Smoking is allowed, so it isn't suited to people who dislike cigarette smoke, but the low antique-style sofas are comfortable amid the smell of conventional cigarettes. I'd like to try the omurice next time.

A café that really feels like the Showa era. I had omurice, but the rice inside was very strongly seasoned. That isn't modern either. A very high proportion of customers were smokers. It became quite crowded after around 12. There was an old mahjong video game table (I'm not sure whether it works).
