An Izakaya which plays live music! The people that were serving us actually seeing Japanese folk music from different regions and they were sooo good at singing and playing the traditional instruments! Food is quite expensive and you must order drinks, but still worth the price!
View on GoogleIncredible food, wonderful show, very nice people. Learned a lot about Japanese folk music and culture while having a great time!
View on GoogleWhat a special experience! Wait staff magically transforms into professional-caliber musicians for a personal shamisen concert, in front of the intimate 12-ish person dining area. Incredibly hard-working and talented team. Reserve your table in advance. An honor to eat and enjoy here.
View on GoogleMy daughter and and I had a wonderful experience on our visit to Kazunoya Oiwake. We may have been the only non-Japanese speaking patrons but we were treated very warmly by the staff and other patrons and made to feel welcome. The food and the music was outstanding - one of the highlights of my trip to Tokyo. And there were quite a few members of the audience who participated in the singing, dancing & playing, making it an all-around great evening. At the end we even got a quick shamisen lesson from Kazuhito Yabuki!
View on GoogleI didn't take photo as I was totally immersed in the atmosphere of the place. I went to hear the shamisen sound in a Japanese typical restaurant with all the vibes that a place like this have, and I went take into a travel inside Japan tastes and music. Also I have been treated like in a family by the diners and the owners of the restaurant. At the end of the evening I got the pleasure to speak just a little with them, even if I was embarrassed to speak in Japanese (I prefer writing). Perfect atmosphere of typical Japan, music and instruments, singing voice and dance, people and food, instilled in me the desire to return. Sure I will. Grazie! イタリアから、 どうもありがとうございました。
